I hope those visiting the eastern part of France take notice of this: Travel Tip – Europe – France – Guedelon – Building a French castle in the 21st Century with Medieval tools

Last summer I was fortunate to stop over at an amazing project that’s been in construction for a few years in Burgundy in the eastern part of France.

Guedelon – Official Website

At Guedelon artisans, craftsman and architects are working to build a castle with tools from the medieval age.

Small homes around the castle have workers in them making supplies like rope, baskets and yarn.

Farm animals are kept on the site to demonstrate the farming life of the people that lived around castles in medieval times.

This is a great stop over and I’d recommended it to all travelers young and old.

This was one of the more unique castles I’ve visited in my time in Europe.

Definitely let me know about any cool sites you’ve seen lately in your travels.
